Studied immunology and diseases in university but I was interested in building companies.
I decided to build ePrescribing software; the IP was acquired by a larger pharmacy brand. I also co-founded a product agency that specialized in healthcare, specifically pharmacy and diagnostics.
Never had a job but was curious after my last 2 exits, so I briefly worked at IBM as part of a small team building AI products for the largest insurance and fintech companies. I later joined a large insurance company as a Director of Strategy & UX to help them launch a corporate startup that offered financial planning tools for millennials.
My goal was to understand how large enterprises operate and see where the gaps in the industries are.
After these last 2 jobs, I decided to do a hard reset. Start from zero by selling everything I own, pack it into one bag, and go nomadic.
I've now traveled to over 20+ countries, spending most of my time in Southeast Asia while exploring and building new businesses. I'm much happier having the freedom to build businesses and learn new things.
I do appreciate stability and recognize how your geography impacts your success. I'm sure in the next year or so, I'll find a place to settle down.
